If the dog lets go, he is pulled backward. Therefore, this teaches the dog to bite and hold.--- This works best when you take the slack out of the line. Start the dog off at the end of the line with no slack in it. Then have the decoy between 5' and 10' away from the dog at the end of the stretched out line. The dog then stretches the line out more to get the bite. If he lets go, he is pulled backwards.
