Head Mounted Dog Camera System
The system comprises a miniature camera and radio transmitter mounted on a lightweight head harness. It has a quick-release buckle for easy removal.
Features a combined video recorder / monitor / receiver unit carried by the handler.Specifications:
Camera: Miniature solid-state unit, ¼” CCD sensor.
Color, 520 TVL resolution
Housing: Custom-designed, rugged injection-molded unit, contains camera, transmitter unit,
lights, battery and on/off switch.
Battery life is 2-3 hours in normal use.
Head harness: Nylon webbing with buckle and Velcro adjustment, has quick-release mounting
for camera housing. Adjustable to fit most dogs
Weights: Camera assembly, complete with harness is very lightweight (only 1.3 lbs.)
The monitor unit weighs less than ½ lb.
Miniature, lightweight unit comprising
receiver unit, recorder (micro SD card recording medium) video monitor with 5” screen
and rechargeable batteries. Battery life is approximately 4 hours.
Security: Every frame of video is time and date stamped.
Recording time: Normally, the highest quality will be used; providing approximately 30 minutes per
GB of memory. A 4GB card is recommended . Cards can be replaced in a few
seconds if required for evidence.
External devices: A USB connector is provided for viewing or exporting the recordings to a computer.
A headphone connector is provided for secure monitoring of the audio; a speaker
allows other personnel to listen to the live audio if required.
Frequency: 2.4G Hz
Range: Range will depend entirely on the local environment and transmitter power, but it must
be emphasized that this system is intended for close-support operations and has a
limited range. In general terms, the handler will normally be sufficiently close to the dog
that a signal will be available at all times.
