This camera system is based on mission requirements for U.S. Military dog teams in combat operations. The wrist-mounted receiver/monitor with 2-inch screen allows the handler to see what the dog sees in real time. The black and white, low light camera uses enhanced I.R. illumination to see in dark areas as well as lit areas. The camera arm is improved with an integrated antenna and video transmitter. This new design reduces internal wiring, provides improved cooling, and a direct connection to the antenna.
Power has been increased to an output of 2 watts to maximize transmitting range. Camera arm is spring loaded to allow the K-9 to maneuver or crawl through confining spaces without getting hung up. Camera arm can be folded down and locked in the closed position when not in use.
