Basic Narcotic Detection Dog Training

This book has been written primarily to help both the new and/or experienced Law Enforcement or Professional K9 handler to fully understand the process of selecting, training and maintaining the working narcotic Detection Dog. The content of this text is purely intended for the use of the professional dog handler. It is not designed to be a comprehensive detailed training manual or a basic dog training text, but a guideline to educate and promote the training, maintenance and certification of the Narcotic Detection dog. The methodology and practices proposed by this text are just one way to train a Narcotic Detection dog. Like any facet of dog training, there are a few other methods. This book illustrates the theory and practices which are experientially based upon years of successfully and professionally training Narcotic Detection dogs.
