K-9 Headmount System w/ Picatinny Rail   

The K-9 Headmount is adjustable to fit most working dogs.  It allows the dog to still do bitework while being worn.  The picatinny rail allows you to mount any weapon type light such as a Streamlight TLR-HL.  The Streamlight TLR-HL model produces 630 lumens of light.  The K-9 Headmount used in conjunction with the light can be used in constant ON mode to light up an area so the dog can search and locate a suspect quicker or be switched to strobe mode to disorient a combative suspect hiding in a basement or attic, allowing the K-9 to get a better bite.

An easy way to get the dog used to wearing the K-9 Headmount after you put it on him is to reward and play tug with him using a ball on a rope so he forgets he is wearing it.  You can also do focused heeling and obedience work with a reward or do bitework till your K-9 gets used to wearing it. The picatinny rail on the headmount can also be used to mount cameras and other accessories.
